A life care plan includes research into medical records and payment histories, along with projections of all medical, community integration, vocational, transportation, living and social needs of an injured person involved in a workers’ compensation or personal liability settlement. This plan can be used to project costs.
The Protocols® life care planning process includes interviews with the injured person, service and product providers, and members of the person’s support system; it can also include limited implementation of plan recommendations. A life care plan is a living document that should be re-visited over the course of a lifetime.
